About
The Smith College Cheer team is a competitive team and supports Smith College athletics as well as the Smith and Northampton communities by appearing at home games and various community events. Smith College Cheerleading has been featured in the Hampshire Gazette, Smith Alumnae Quarterly, and Inside Cheerleading Magazine, as well as on NPR New England.
We are a fun group of Smith students that enjoys cheering on our athletes, continuing to improve our athletic abilities, both as individuals and as a team, and participating in community events throughout the year. While many of us have a background in dance, cheer, or gymnastics, we welcome new members who are enthusiastic and come ready to learn! We encourage any and all types of people to attend our seasonal tryouts both at the beginning of the fall and spring.
